Annual Christmas Sessions 2021 | Abbotsford Christmas Mini Sessions

Our Annual Christmas Sessions were a huge success again this year, despite several cancellations due to sick kiddos and copious amounts of rain, that nearly called off ALL the Tree Farm sessions!

I had 24 amazing families in front of my camera again this year, all clients that I have had the privilege of photographing year after year. Some of these smiling faces have been coming to me for Christmas photos since I first started around 7 years ago and it just warms my heart that I get to watch them grow up through my photographs each year.

Christmas Mini Sessions

The new studio space was beautiful and roomy for the 3 sets. I navigated some challenges setting up and taking down on a time frame (huge shout out to my momma, my brother and sister-in-law for assisting me with that, next year I think I’ll be hiring an assistant for the day, any takers? lol)

I think my favourite set was the bed (this always seems to be my favourite each year lol). I would have to say that the kids loved the red truck backdrop, not sure if it was actually the red truck or the fact that most of your kids ended up getting to throw snowballs at me lol. Either way we got some great photos, great smiles and had lots of fun!

Tree Farm Mini Sessions

We originally had 6 families lined up for Tree Farm minis this year but due to the ridiculous amounts of rain that dwindled down to just 2 amazing families that braved the rain, the wind and the puddles and ultimately saved me from being caught up in the slides on the highways this year. Hopefully next year we will have some better weather for the outdoor sessions, I think I’ll be planning these in October next year lol.

I have never seen so much rain in my life!!! As we all know this wreaked havoc on the highways ultimately closing ALL roads to and from the Okanagan leaving me stranded in the Lower Mainland for a whole week. Thank you to all of you who checked in on me, offered me a place to stay and invited me over for wine 😉 Thankfully I was able to get home on day 7, even if it took me over 8 hours and adventure through the US (I may or may not have stopped into Target for a little shopping spree, still kicking myself for not popping into Hobby Lobby lol.
